Coach call question. Topic

I gave a coach a call on a recruit that is one div higher. I didn't get the "normal response" that I'm used to. The coaches response went straight into what sets they run and is knowledge of the sets. I double checked and he still shows one Div up. Am I wrong in thinking he's able to be recruited now and doesn't need to be pulled down?

I think so.

If he is a local prospect he should be immediately recruitable.

Thanks and he is <100

Just to follow up in case anyone wanted to know or gets this in the future he was recruitable without being pulled down.

is he under 70?

Yes Dac he was 60 miles.

So if a guy would be a pull down but he is within 70 miles, he is always automatically recruitable? Or just sometimes?

Just sometimes

jay I sent a coach call to a recruit that was 60 miles away and one div up. The coach call didn't say anything about being a back-up.

The coach just went straight into the sets they run and his knowledge of sets. If you get this type of coach call you do NOT need to pull him down you can recruit him as if he is the same div as you even though he is a div up.

This does NOT mean all recruits at this distance are recruitable right away. Only if the coach goes straight into the sets they run with no mention if your a long shot or a back-up.

Ok, what about this? "Hey Coach, thanks for the call to chat about **** ****.  Obviously kids change their minds, but right now I think he's leaning a different direction."  He is within the 70 miles that was stated earlier, a division up, but he is not considering anybody.  Is this a backup message I have never seen?  Or is he recruitable now?
