Each year, schwarze puts together the WIS Championship, where 96 owners compete through 12 often devious, always challenging themes to see who is the best. The first 6 are open to anyone, but the second set of 6 are only open to the users who finish in the Top 24 in Round 1 of the tournament. Round 1 is winding down and it looks as though I'll be just missing out on reaching The Cage this year but, having spent time going over these themes and putting the beginnings of teams together for them, I asked schwarze for his blessing to run versions of the Round 2 themes that are open to everyone. Thanks schwarze!

These leagues will be open to anyone except the owners participating in Round 2 of this year's WISC. You do NOT have to sign up for all 6 leagues in order to participate. However, calhoop and I have decided to up the ante and introduce a prize system that will reward players for performing well, and also for joining all 6 leagues. $300 in prizes are up for grabs!

Prizes
- The winner of each league will receive a GC from calhoop. If the winner is in all 6 leagues, that GC will be $40. If the winner is not in all 6 leagues, the GC will be $20.
- I will also be giving all 6 of my theme league founder credits to the owner who accumulates the most points using the WISC scoring system (outlined below). Obviously, being in all 6 leagues will increase your chances of achieving the highest point total.

That means that, in the case where the same user wins the World Series in all 6 leagues, they would likely receive a $240 GC AND a 6 pack of teams (worth $60).

Your entire roster must consist of players from 1885-1899 and 2001-2015. (For purposes of discussion, 2001-2015 will be considered the 2000's even though the year 2000 is NOT included). You must spend at least $25M on players from each era. Use a ballpark that existed during one of the two eras.

Every player on your roster must have played at least one game for your franchise during his career, but you can only use seasons in which he does NOT play for your selected franchise. Players who played for only one franchise during their careers are not eligible for this theme. Use seasons 1920-2015 only. However, if a player played for your franchise before 1920, you can still use a 1920+ season of his (as long as he plays for a different franchise). Use baseball-reference.com as a guide. Use a ballpark your franchise called home at some point between 1920-2015.

$90M: Twist Twelve + Teammates - MLB113892
Pick any single season team. You must roster one player from your selected team (i.e., no twist). You must twist exactly 12 players from that team (i.e., must user a season other than your selected team's season). Each of your twisted players must bring along exactly one teammate from the team you've twisted them to. You cannot use the same season/team combination for any two twisted players. Use the ballpark your selected team played in.

$100M: Silver Anniversary Franchise Soup Draft
All players will come from the 25 year range of 1962-1987. You must have one player per season and are only allowed one player per real life franchise. You do not have to announce which version of the player you are drafting. However, you must roster a legal team. Failure to draft a legal team will result in a penalty* factored into the league standings, which could affect your playoff chances. Parks are exclusive and will be selected during the draft. The draft will be run in the forums and will be a snake draft (order determined randomly). Note that MLB had only 20 teams from 1962-1968 and 24 teams from 1969-1976. You will need at least one SEA or TOR player from the years 1977-1986.

If you cannot field a legal team based on the players you drafted, then you will need to drop a player to fix each mistake and you will be handed a 5-win penalty per player replaced.

The 24 owners will be placed into six groups of four, randomly. Starting with a randomly selected group, a randomly selected owner in the group will select a franchise for their group. There will then be six simultaneous drafts (one for each group) in which each group is only allowed to select players from their chosen franchise. You do not have to announce what season of your drafted players you are using. A maximum of $20M in cumulative team salary may come from 1901-1919 pitchers.

Two of the leagues will have drafts. The 100M league has a snake style draft in the forums. In the 110M league, each division will have its own draft and each draft will only feature players of a single franchise. Those drafts will also be snake style, but with only 4 participants each. The members of each draft in the 110M league will be placed together in a division for the season.
