You know who doesn't make mistakes? Robert ******* Goodell! He'd NEVER suspend Rougned Odor. NEVER!!!! OLD TIME BASEBALL!!!!!!
I think it Roger Goodell, fucknuts.
Robert Goodell never suspended Odor either.

Roger, Robert, WHATEVER!!! He'd recognize. And Odor would not be suspended. Because Rougned Odor is a HERO!

When exactly was this "old time baseball" where punching out the other team was considered acceptable? Nobody old enough to remember baseball that looked like that knows how to use the internet.

Bout to go buy some Rougned's Red Punch at the Rangers AA game

Well lets see. In the 80s I remember that the Padres had a game where the two teams threw at each other like 5 times. There was this pitcher in the 90s named Nolan Ryan. He got in a fight with Robin Ventura (who is the coach of the White Sox). That was 25 years ago. Then there was the whole Armando Benitez fiasco. Then there was Pedro Martinez/Don Zimmer thing. Then there was the time Jonny Cueto spiked Jason LaRue in the head.

Yeah I seem to remember a lot of 'punching out' going on...

I don't remember anyone thinking any of that was ok.

Its a part of the game. I didn't come up with it. Its just there.

Plus, if a man is assaulted like Odor, he has a right to protect himself. He did. #Hero

He wasn't assaulted. He was playing baseball against a player making a baseball play.

sjpoker doesn't recognize the difference between baseball-related activities - things like ditching your bat before you run the bases, pitching, and sliding - and non-baseball-related activities - like punching somebody in the face.

I'm going to bow out of this conversation because there's such a rampant lack of objectivity and rationality.

But go watch that video again and then tell me you honestly believe Bautista was going to punch Odor. He wasn't. He had an open hand until the instant before he got hit.
You seem to think you know what everyone is thinking. That would be incorrect. Unless, of course, MLB has confirmed it.

Bautista approached an angry man. That is a bad idea. He was not issuing bro-hugs.

FWIW, fighters have open hands up until the moment they punch. It's easier to defend oneself with an open hand.

So I'm watching a MMA show, they know a little something 'bout fighting, and they said "Oh, yeah, Bautista was definitely about to throw a punch. Odor just beat him to it."
