tracking the big moves to put some life back in this franchise:

re-sign Clay--good move for short money

trade for Kimbel---4 prospects is steep, but the rebuild of this pathetic bullpen has to be done, and starting with a closer seems like a good place to begin

they are finally going to fix Dombrowski?

He'll singlehandedly make the Red Sox playoff team for years. But people will always criticize his farm system. As a Tigers fan, a logical one, I know that he keeps the prospects he knows, will make an impact on his ML team in a few years. He'll trade prospects he doesn't. Sure, DD traded Devon Travis (half a good season) Cameron Maybin (a career stop-gap CF) and Andrew Miller, but how many other prospects have turned out? Your gonna see a proven Major Leaguer for 3-4 prospects, but after say, 5 years, then you'll truly appreciate the trade. I didn't like DD trading Corey Knebel and a SP for Joakim Soria. But, time will tell if they actually put up numbers for the Rangers

Red Sox reportedly determined to land either Price or Greinke
11/25/2015 9:02 AM
unfortunately, or fortunately, the determination has to be on the other side

True, but a pile of money can create mutual interest in a hurry

And a pile of money it is....David Price is not poor

This is a good signing for the Sox.

How can you say that when you don't know what his WAR will be over the next seven years?

You reeeeally need to get laid. Tons of pent up frustration and nothing better to take it out on than a stat you don't understand.

Will Price go into the HOF as a Red Sox?
12/1/2015 9:54 PM
Yes if he gets to 305 wins. No if he retires with 290 wins.

Too much money.  But it ain't mine.  And with him and Kimbrel, they are relevant again.

Now, only if they offered 5 for $120  to Lester two years ago instead of the $80 mil insult they started and ended with.....................
12/1/2015 10:40 PM
there is a 3 year out in the Price deal that could make it interesting....

while Boston misread and mishandled Lester, if I had to pick one or the other I would take Price every day of the week

But . . . but . . . but . . . I thought W/L was a stupid way to evaluate pitchers?

Did something change?
