Let's be honest, here: nobody playing right now is close to being the greatest of all time at anything, except maybe catcher defense (Yadier Molina) or catcher offense (Posey, assuming you pretend Piazza isn't really a catcher since his defending was so poor). And even Posey is a stretch. Cabrera is a great hitter, but he hasn't even played his post-prime seasons yet, and he's already a little behind Frank Thomas in terms of career numbers. And yeah, he's probably at best the 2nd-best of his generation, with Pujols being arguably one of the top 10 hitters of all time.
