Season Review:
The young Ducks definitely gave the Oregon fans something to cheer about during the regular season. The youngsters started off winning their first 23 games before dropping 2 of their last 3 regular season games. 
 
Conference tournament started with a first round bye followed by a win in the quarterfinals. 6 seed Stanford was the semifinals opponent. Oregon destroyed Stanford during the regular season but things was different in the conference tournament. The hot cardinals who won 3 CT games was too much for the ducks but lost to UCLA in CT finals. 
 
National Tournament gave the ducks a 5 seed and 1st Round matchup against St.John's. Coach vamrbball took the blame for this lost after he force his youngsters to push the game tempo which was something they didn't do much during the regular season. Vamrbball knew St.John's wanted to slow this game down more than he wanted. Oregon uptempo controlled the first half but stamina slowed the guys down in the second half which allowed St.Johns to come back to win by 4pts. 
 
The good news!!!!! The early post season lost will help Oregon return all 12 players including go to guy PG John Holmes who was a hot commodity for NBA scouts.

Season Review:
Season 92 was loaded with high expectations for the Ducks. The veteran team played hard as expected and finish non conference 9-1. The one non conference lost came on the road against a strong Ga.Tech 54-53. Even thou the team was ranked 1 during most of the season. Coach vamrbball kept the team from getting arrogant and thinking wins was going to be easy. The Ducks had a couple close games but went 15-1 during conference play. The lost was away from home to UCLA 80-63. Conference Tournament Championship was coach vamrbball first as Ducks head coach but it wasn't easy. First round win came against rival Oregon St who gave their all for each of the 3 season battles. Second Round against Arizona St who only lost to #2 twice and #1 twice (UCLA, Oregon), before losing their 5th game during NT (S16). CT finals was down to the wire as the Ducks got revenge against UCLA 78-76. Oregon was all set for the National Tournament and was seeded #1. First Round against Butler was over at Halftime. Second Round opponent Auburn was tough with good guards that matched up well with Oregon. Sweet 16 - wasn't going to be easy against another great team/coach but Oregon goal was to continue playing. All was good at halftime and most of the second half until the Ducks couldn't find the basket nor get the ball to their star John Holmes. Oregon lost 56-52 but this season was still one of the best for school history.
