Keene State: The Second Coming Topic

Season 94
Team will have three openings. Biggest team needs revolve around backcourt players. PF/C positions are well covered and Jacobson can play any position effectively.

It only makes sense that his ratings would taper as he reaches 700. Definitely my first ever 80/80 guy in HD.

His LP could rise enough to make him a serious scoring option next season.

I am contemplating moving him back to SF in order to have a starting 5 with 4 seniors next season. His DEF hit red after 19 games; his LP will hit over 70.

Another DII pull down. At this point he'll be an easier guy to manage. Having his LP rise is the goal and hoping that all of the other areas can gain a bit more before turning red.

Season 95
So I decided to recruit two point guards in an attempt to find the missing pieces. Last season the team went 23-6, but a lack of competition in the non-conference killed my NT hopes. We went 16-0 in conference play and got upset in the CT second round, which I didn't anticipate happening ever. Jacobson made the 1st team all-conference and Dube made the 2nd team all-conference and won conference DPOTY honours.

The start of this season has been a good one. 8-3 with the 11th ranked rpi and sos, which bodes well given the conference overall weakness. Good wins over NT bound teams, coupled with three losses to guaranteed NT teams. The 22nd rank might not stick due to the teams I'll face, but I know I can hang with the best teams, so hopefully an NT run past the second round is in the books.

Recruited to ultimately be a split-time PG with Manley. The durability hasn't been an issue. After 11 games is averaging 1.5 apg/1.1 topg on 18.1 mpg.

I decided to start him at SG, but because Fleming is a decent option there, I knew at SF I was weakest and he is the highest rated player for that position, so it only made sense to spread him to both. Most likely the best offensive ratings I've seen from a player I've recruited. He has the best LP by 20 points and would rank as the highest in both for his recruited position of SF. 3rd highest overall and highest without a redshirt. Definitely the team leader.

Through 17 games averaging 21.3 on 50.9% shooting; 56.8% on 2's

His player roles are really geared toward the backcourt and although he could pass at SF, I just wouldn't have the right combination to have that work. So playing high minutes as the SG backup will have to do. His stamina is probably the biggest strength. His shooting overall has been poor through the first 11 games, so I was forced to reduce his shot attempts. A big crutch is he doesn't appear to draw fouls, having only attempted 11 free throws while averaging 5.7 ppg, 2 rpg and 2.5 apg and 1.5 spg in 27 mpg.

Through 17 games he is shooting 60% on 2's
