I see Williams went #4 last draft... feels like I stole him at #24. Also Bonds slipping to #14 surprised me.
So jealous that you got 2 consecutive picks. Wanted to watch Ted just keep dropping to me, then you got Musial!

I went with Koufax & Gibson. Please try and present an argument against that combo???
Koufax is always consistent, considering the real life stats of Gibson and how amazing they are he always seems to underperform...at least from what I have seen.

Interesting. I've always seen the opposite, sambus. Koufax has tended to give up HRs in my experience.

I agree that Sandy does tend to give up some long balls in hitter friendly stadiums but I have seen him put up some ridiculous numbers in a pitchers park where I have never seen Gibson meet my expectations; however he might just suck when I own him, I tend to have that affect on my players.

Ckayde Gebdrix went at 29. I don't think I've ever seen him go that high

Claude Hendrix went 18th last season .

My mistake

I drafted Hendrix but pulled the trigger after weighing a handful of factors. He had one of the lowest OAV# and WHIP# of the available players while offering 381 IP and a solid HR rate.

I don't have much experience in $140+ million leagues so we'll see how he does. He had an okay first season in DEAL so we'll see if he can improve.

Good pick with Gebdrix. I would have taken him at the #25 spot but I had Oyeokw Gaze all in my brain.

In drafts like this, I always like my team until I look at everyone else's!

The site seems to HATE Bonds. He gets the OBP but is more of a glorified singles hitter in this league than a power threat. His slugging % goes WAY down from RL

True, he doesn't seem to perform up to his salary... usually walks more than anything, and often bats well under .300.

LMAO...I'm sorry guys. Legally blind commissioner typing on a desktop in a dark room and not proofreading before posting....sometimes, weird things happen lol.

While I'm on here, I will admit I was wrong before last DEAL league. I had said that I predict that high K, low WHIP power pitchers would perform MUCH better than the deadball era guys who hardly walk anyone but allow more hits per inning and get fewer K's.

Looking at the stats and leaders lists from the 1st DEAL, I was mistaken and that was not the case. Pedro Martinez was not the dominant force I thought he would be. I was personally let down by the guys I drafted (who are still undrafted so I can't mention by name); Deadball guys like Tim Keefe, Christy Mathewson and so on did very well.

Because of this, I am changing my strategy for this one for sure.

My Turn of the Century Cubs rotation didn't fare very well. Neither did Fernando Mania!
