Raines just rolled over season 7 and we are looking for two new owners in season 8. This is an opportunity to join a world in its infancy and develop the first wave of hall of fame candidates.

We have a few rules:
1. 55/120/195 minimum win requirement
2. Owners are allowed to re-locate only once every 5 years (new owners can change immediately)
3. Trade committee to flag any severely unbalanced trades
4. Maintain your minors, no bashing others on chat board

We also have a lot of fun and have special side games to keep things interesting. This year we did the Fantasy Fantasy game where you picked other teams in the leagues and got points based on their performance. The winner gets a cut of the $170 pot. It is totally voluntary but much of the world participates.

One of the other side games is the Rebuild Challenge. 4 participants took over struggling teams and are competing to see who generate the best record in season 7 The winner received $30.

We typically do not have a long wait at rollover.

Four owners have raised their hand and said they will not be back. Here are the teams available:

• Santa Fe Expedition https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6408 This team won only 66 games this season but has been signing IFAs and high draft picks the last couple seasons - so help is on the way. The payroll is quite low to allow the new owner to continue to rebuild. Or the division is fairly weak so with a free agent signings, the new owner could contend soon.
• Anaheim Avengers https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6416 A solidly built team that won 85 games last year. The best 2 players on the team are studs and only ages 23,24. In fact, the whole team is quite young, the top 8 overall rated players are under age 31. This a great team for someone who wants to build around a strong young core.
• Fargo Red Hawks: https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6420 An up and coming team that won 80 games last year. The team lacks superstars at the major level but there are some very promising prospects in the minors. The payroll is quite low ($57M) so there is quite a bit of a blank canvas to make moves to build the team.
• Florida McCarleys: https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6424 This team has won 67 games or less the last 6 seasons. The good news is that all those high draft picks are coming up to help. And another high draft pick is on the way - they have the #3 draft pick this season
• San Juan Hodags https://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=6412 This team has the #4 overall draft pick this year. Not a lot of talent returning at the ML level but nor is there much payroll either. This a good team for rebuild fans. There is some pretty impressive talent in the minors, the previous coaches already started the rebuilding process.
