I was surprised this isn't in the forums elsewhere - if it is sorry for re-asking. I searched and couldn't find anything.

What's the deal with gifts? Do the messages about a player being jealous of anothers car, or being greedy provide insight into if they will work? Do they have a huge impact and if so what is the risk?

Sorry for all the questions, trying to figure out if this is something I should be trying to use or ignoring..

Don't use them. They are not worth the risk. Bad things will happen if you get caught.

Huge risk small reward. I ran out of cash one recruiting season and gave gifts to 3 guys. One was suspended 4 games one 6 games and one was ineligible for his career. Plus I took a huge reputation hit.

You can get fired for using booster gifts?

as far as i know, it is now big risk, no reward. i thought they turned gifts off after people figured out that boosters weren't to be used when you ran out of money, but instead to 'pull down' players from higher divisions..................................

Just speaking on hypothetical terms .... if a coach had gained an advantage by learning how to properly employ booster gifts, what is the point of sharing that information with EVERY person on this forum? I'm pretty sure if we all shared everything we knew about the game we could just change the name of the game to Coinflip Dynasty.

Oh but yeah they don't work and neither does lots of other stuff in the game.

I am a firm proponent of the "do not ever use booster gifts....ever!" Because they don't work and stuff.

I used them once in DIII. Tried it on 5 players( I was desperate ) that I needed really bad. Two players,a QB and a OL, got ****** off and refused to have any thing to do with my school.

Three players jumped on it.A WR, DL, and a RB.

then my team was put under investigation for being a bad boy. All three players were suspended for 3 games each at different times threw the year.

If I got cot doing it again the school would be suspended from bowl play.

Never went back to it.

WTF! I was going to say look back to page 85 or 86 to see more post on the subject but you can;t go farther than 4 pages???? When the hell did this happen?????

I tried it once. The player was not a fan. Didnt get to sign him. O well. I was desperate. Think I was drunk too. I dont make the best decisions when I am drunk.

I think I met my wife when I was drunk.
