Averett's run to the national championship as a #9 seed in the Smith world got me thinking. Has there ever been, in real life or hoops dynasty, a team that has won the national championship, and was the underdog in every game they played? I think Dallas' national championship in I believe it was Naismith a few seasons back might qualify, but otherwise I have no idea.
