Franchise Progressive With Farm System will need a new owner for the Oakland A's franchise, going into the 1980 season. The roster is loaded, but the current owner is leaving WIS. He called it "an immediate juggernaut starting in 1980 and 1981, and they have a lot of talent in the years after that as well". They'll get future rookies who made their WIS debut with Oakland (Tony Phillips, Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire, etc). The current (1979) season goes until very early July. If someone wants to claim the team before then, they could make trades that would take effect after the current season.
Here is the potential roster for 1980. Only 25 players can be kept, so at least 7 have to be waived:

That's $102 M in salary before cutting the worst players. For perspective, the highest payroll any team has in our current 1979 season is $93 M. Most teams are between $81 - 88 M. This Oakland roster has a superstar outfield, some great pitchers, and plenty of trade bait on the pitching staff.
