what was the biggest drop ?
I'd like to know that too. If I knew where to find the original salaries in a spreadsheet I could figure it out.
The original and first iteration of dynamic pricing salary spreadsheets are no longer downloadable (though they probably should be).

If you want me to send you a spreadsheet with all the salaries (original, Feb, June), site-mail me your e-mail address.

The salary drops are all around 0.2% per hitter and 0.1% per pitcher. This is typical as there are so many more players with decreases than with increases. The overall total salary of all hitters and all pitchers remain about the same.

Very nice. Thanks WIS (and thanks schwarze). Didn't see Tim Raines 1986, miss him?

Pardon my ignorance, but I don't understand how salaries were affected for those high-salaried players not so often picked in Open Leagues. Ty Cobb 1911 for example. He wasn't picked that often in OL's compared with Howard Johnson what 1989 and Bip Roberts is it 1992, right?

The changes are based on site-wide usage. All caps are in play

It's more a case of them starting to be a lot lower than their competition. They stood still while others increased 20%.

This.

I'll be surprised if anyone uses 1989 HoJo now, and if they do I think it puts them at a severe disadvantage. The way I evaluate players, he's no longer in the top 100 shortstops I would consider in an OL.

I expect this is true of cookies across the board...after 2 updates, those who have been used most frequently have seen their salaries increase by ~20%. I don't think any of them were underpriced by 20% to begin with (some may have been 10% underpriced, like Joss). I expect in the next update we will see a very different set of players on the "greatest increase" list.

Schwarze, instead of emailing spreadsheets, could you kindly upload the data to docs.google and share the link with everyone? That would be great for the original, first update, and current prices. I tried myself to upload the data but couldn't figure out how. The data seems messy for me, but I'm sure you're more capable.

well I guess I will never be using some of these guys (Ruth, Joss etc) in any but 255mil leagues anymore.

My more or less regular $255 million team is now $269 million. Not much fat to trim. Guess those days are gone forever.
