Assigning ML player to AAA? Topic

I just traded for a young guy who was in the ML for a full year. I don't think he's ML ready, so can I assign him to AAA (our world hasn't started Spring Training yet) without a ratings hit? Will this delay his Arb/FA at all? His patience/temper/makeup ratings are 61/0/52 if that matters here.

If it's before ST, he won't take a hit. Yes it will delay his major league service time.

What if a player has been taken to arbitration twice? What will assigning him to AAA before ST accomplish contract-wise, if anything?
