New progressive league starting with the 1979-80 season. We finished the previous progressive a few months ago and it was fun and interesting following the different styles and trends of the NHL.

Rules:

Unlimited keepers and cap. Random weighted draft decides the draft order of the bottom 6 for the first round only. (8-6-4-3-2-1). Ties decided by total wins then GF/GA differential. The lesser team has the higher choice.

Keepers are posted before or at the transaction deadline. 2 players maximum allowed on IR for players who don't qualify for the WIS database.

Maximum of 4 players out a time for injuries or suspensions.

Below average MLers allowed to play. Plus one set of average MLers allowed to play.

Trades for draft choices can be made up to 2 drafts ahead once the current season begins. Otherwise, only 1 draft ahead.
