Newbie question:
Any kind of career stipulations in D3 (winning%, NT berths, etc) for moving up to D2?
Thanks

No, you'll be eligible for every DII job after 1 season of DIII

Is this true? It hasn't always been this way.

You will be able to move up, but you will get a rebuild.

It's true unless you cut somebody or break a promise or something like that.

In my experience it depends on prestige of the D2 school you want to go to. After one season at D3 you can go to most D2 schools, but if you had a crummy record you'll be "Not Qualified" for A and A+ jobs. This is why I'm asking if something has changed

So, I moved up to D2 without any problems...and took over the #9-ranked team in the country in Northwood, formerly coached by sublightd. I also noticed that D2 Le Moyne (A prestige) is still open.
Is this a case of Coaches moving on or moving out because of the looming update? I don't mind taking over such a mega-succesful program, but if Coaches like sub and emy (At Le Moyne, I think) are leaving I think that's a problem. Just my two cents.

Both.
There was a thread before about coaches already starting to leave teams. Many coaches have said they are cutting back teams until they see what happens with the update, which is very unfortunate for coaches who are just getting in to the game or looking to add teams. But yes, coaches are leaving, for now.
