I don't think anyone has ever denied that individual events determine games.

You seemed confused, since it's real baseball we're talking about. Not a stat sheet.

When you kept insisting that all outs are the same.

I insisted that, when looking at a player's stats, it's dumb to focus on the types of outs he made. How he made his outs doesn't matter. How often he made them is what counts.

See? There you go again.

Let's take it back to the original argument. You said Trout should strikeout less, correct?

I believe it was Trout who said he wanted to strike out less

That's true.

But BL knows more about hitting than Mike Trout, so he's insisting that Mike Trout should just keep whiffing because POWER!!!

Miguel Cabrera hit 52 homers 2 years ago and struck out 117 times. He could've hit 70 if he struck out 200 times.

Ironically, Trout reduced his strikeout rate by 3% from 2014 to 2015, and his OBP and SLG both went up.

Weird, huh?

For someone so deeply into stats (to the point he says he doesn't even need to watch the game), b_l has very little regard for facts. Don't further confuse him by using them.

Do you agree that he should strikeout less?

Yes. There is no disadvantage to cutting down on your strikeouts.
