Was thinking about the possibility of switching the managerial base-stealing setting on a game-by-game basis based on catcher match-ups. Anyone do this? Seems time consuming but potentially beneficial.

Saw this post when searching google for an answer in old forum posts. Has this quote from the help menu:

"There are positives and negatives associated with every tendency. Users are recommended to choose the brand of baseball they most believe in and stick to it. Changing managerial settings often is not recommended asconsistency fosters player development."

Odds this is baloney and simply put in there to keep players from micromanaging the game to produce "unrealistic" outcomes? Similar to the "don't promote a prospect too soon" warning many owners disregard?

Most likely your BL players are developed enough that it wouldn't matter if it was true.

Or even, perhaps, increasing bunting if you're facing a pitcher with a 0 range? Not as likely to help as much as the stealing but could provide a positive impact.
