About the RPHL...

The RPHL is a fun and competitive league full of both SimLeague hockey veterans and rookies. Friendly, helpful and full of potential trade offers (some even need to seek help for their compulsive need to swap assets)! With little to no downtime between seasons we're perpetually moving forward (yet laid back) and generally begin the draft during the current season's playoffs.

Rules/Settings...

Salary Cap: $100 million (rises to 110 in the off-season)
Max Keepers: 18
Trades: 8 votes to veto
Max Injuries: 2
Playoff Intensity: NO
ML: Average
Ties: NO (shootout)

How does a PROGRESSIVE work?

For example...you'd use Mark Messier's 90-91 season for the upcoming season. For the next season you'd progress to Messier's next available SIM season...so 91-92. At the end of each season owners submit a list of 18 players MAX from their roster they intend to keep. Any players out of SIM seasons 'retire.' You'd then fill your roster via the draft (5 rounds) and add/drop period that follows. Players available to be drafted (from all eras) are randomly drawn from various talent pools.
