About the Random Progressive Hockey League
The RPHL is nearing the playoffs of its 11th season. The league is made up of a mixture of SimLeague hockey veterans and rookies. It's friendly, competitive and the RANPROG Hockey News letter will either make you seethe from its scathing articles or laugh at the rumours that MAY seem outlandish.
RPHL Rules/Settings:
- Trades (8 votes to veto)
- Max injuries 2
- $100,000,000 salary cap ($110 in the off-season)
- Max 18 keepers
- NO playoff intensity
- Average ML
- NO ties, shootout
- No clones
- Draft = 5 rounds followed by add/drop
- Franchise can be moved and renamed (unless City already claimed)
- Each team gets home and away jerseys designed
S12 Prospects Include: Sergei Fedorov, Paul Martin, Alex Connell, Tim Kerr, Mark Napier, Drew Doughty and Dave Taylor.
How does a PROGRESSIVE work?
For example...you'd use Mark Messier's 90-91 season for the upcoming season. For the next season you'd progress to Messier's next available SIM season...so 91-92. At the end of each season owners submit a list of 18 players MAX from their roster they intend to keep. Any players out of SIM seasons 'retire.' You'd then fill your roster via the draft (5 rounds). Players available to be drafted (from all eras) are randomly drawn from various talent levels.
