I have an excel sheet I use to evaluate players at different positions to see which player is best at that particular moment in time. I enter the ratings, then assign a multiplier (from 1 to 10) to each rating to come up with a "position total". I was wondering how everyone would value different attributes.

I'd kind of like to tweak what I have because I don't think so many of them should be a 10. I'm just curious what everyone else thinks. I also assign a numerical value to FT and IQ. But the max value (A+) is 50. I am thinking I should probably make it 100, so it is consistent.

Here are my multipliers:
ATH: 10
SPD: 10
REB: 2
DEF: 10
SB: 1
LP: 7
PE:10
BH: 10
P:10
ST: 6
FT: 6
IQ: 8 For each one

I'd love to see what others think.

Also, what do you think about these for numerical equivalents for letter grades:
A+ = 100
A = 95
A- = 90
B+ = 85
B = 80
B- = 75
C+ = 70
C = 65
C- = 60
D+ = 55
D = 50
D- = 45
F = 40

If you want to limit the amount of 10s you have then I think the most important are going to be speed, def, ball handling, passing. I can definitely live without a great shooter at PG if I have good scoring from the SG/SF combo. And although high athleticism is great PG is the position I am most willing to take a lower rater player if the rest is good.

My Roles setting
A SPD REB DE BLK LP PE BH P WE ST DU
Point Guard * 10 16 1 12 1 5 12 18 18 0 5 2

I want PASS, SPD, BH out of my PG. In that order.

Mully - just curious about why you have any number for Durability. I have always thought it was worthless. I also agree that PE is not as important. It's nice to have, but maybe I should lower that a bit.

My player role setup for PG is based on 100 this way:
SPD 30, DEF 30, BH 20, PASS 20.
Then i just eyeball the others while keeping the ATH decent.

I would have passing higher than ball handling. Both are obviously important to have but in the PG position, passing is more important.

I have 25 and 13 (These are Hughes's ratings)

This is really interesting. The numbers are all over the place. I am adjusting mine for all of the positions because I have not done it in several years, and know a bit more now than I did back then.

I think speed and passing are significantly more important than BH. One of my best d2 PG's ever was like 95+ SPD/PASS but only 60 BH.

Its worthless until you get that random injury and you wish he didn't have a 2 DUR
