Knuckleball has just finished the World Series for season 7 and will roll in a few days. In 7 season, this is our 6th different champion so this have proven to be an extremely competitive world from season to season. We have 3 known openings at the moment and would love to have everyone sign up now so we can roll quickly. The only existing rule is a MWR of 50 wins per season.
Burlington Busters (61-101, 4th in NL North, 3rd pick in the draft)
Franchise Profile: Busters - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports
The mighty have fallen. The first world series champ in this world underwent an ownership change and the last 2 owners have left it in need of an owner committed to revitalizing a franchise.
Player Profile: Calvin Hernandez - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports is a reminder of the kind of talent that stocked this team before.
St. Louis Cardinals (63-99, 4th in NL South, 5th pick in the draft)
Franchise Profile: Cardinals - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports
A down year for an otherwise perennially competitive team. They had always been in the mid 80 wins range, but new ownership last year let them down and they were salvaged down the stretch by a fill in. This has left them in solid shape to be competitive right away (and get a high draft pick out of it to boot).

Iowa City Janitors (85-77, 2nd in AL South, 21st pick in the draft)
Franchise Profile: Janitors - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports
A well run, competitive franchise that is losing its owner to HBD cutbacks on his part. The pitching staff centers on Player Profile: Rod Witt - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports with Player Profile: Dariel Mann - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports ready to be called up to help the back end next year. The lineup is led by Player Profile: Alex Molina - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports and signed Player Profile: Adeiny Benitez - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports this season to bolster its minor league prospects.
Las Vegas Nevada Rebels (59-103, 4th in AL West, 2nd and 15th (Type D) pick in draft)

A disastrous season left this team that has hovered around the middle of the pack with its worst season ever. But there is not a lot of committed salary or bad contracts that would make this team a difficult situation.
Houston Ranger (95-67, 1st in NL South, 28th pick in the draft)
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRoster.aspx?fid=6456
2 time defending division champion, Houston is still stocked to compete with the best teams in the world with bats like Vic Blanco http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=6665400 and Gerado Granados http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=6668205 and more. One of the top lineups in Knuckleball with young pitching to support it. Maybe a starter away from the World Series.
Ottawa Lnyx (74-88, 3rd in AL North, 11th pick in the draft)
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRoster.aspx?fid=6436
Orlando Saez http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=6667840 has long been the star of the team, but they are in need of a talent in flux. They have some of the pieces in place to compete but a few key free agents are needed to turn this into a wild card team. They aren't far off with the right ownership to commit to them for a few seasons to turn this back into a World Series team.
Milwaukee Aristocrats (65-97, 4th in AL North, 6th pick in the draft)
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRoster.aspx?fid=6435
Since starting as the top franchise in the world, this team has struggled to get back to being competitive. There are quality pieces like LF Turner Richardson
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=6666000 on the club with prospects like Gaylord Webster
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7526664 , Horacio Calvo
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7920704 , and Socks Bedrosian
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7749161 already being developed.
Pittsburgh Pirates (57-105, 4th in AL East, 1st pick in the draft)
http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/FranchiseHistory.aspx?fid=6442
A few very down seasons have this franchise in the midst of a rebuild. Esteban Cespedas http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7962020 was the 2nd pick overall last season and other prospects like Tito Yamada http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7748574 and Pasquel Caminero http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=7527072 are already in the pipeline. Frank Aldridge http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=6667334 leads the ML squad that has only 4 players making above the minimum. This is a great setup for a rebuild without having to deal with bad contracts and with already a few prospects in play.
