How does the SIM designate a prospects position? I have a guy listed as a DH, at $20M scouting, with catching/pitch calling projections of 70/80/95. There's no way he shouldn't be listed as a C. I'm glad I was looking more closely through some of the DHs, because I don't usually target them.

There's also a player designated as a SS with fielding projects in the 60s across the board.

The DH/C probably has a range or glove that's deemed too low by the SIM to play catcher.

It's usually range. 0-7, I believe, shows as DH.

Sucks if you are in the NL and fall asleep at the wheel. I passed over a few good C because of this.

A lot of my Cs on both my teams were drafted/signed as DHs. I don't mind trading some catching defense for a decent bat.

I didn't knowingly pass any over, but I'll certainly be paying more attention to it from here on in.

He means don't set it to Zero DHs when adjusting position counts in your draft settings. If you have it set at zero, you'll pass over every one of these possible Cs.

Yep, my last draft I got (IMHO) the best pure hitter in the draft at pick 73. I can only assume because most owners must not have adjusted their DH draft setting - Art Houck
