DRAFT 'EM ALL LEAGUE (D.E.A.L)--The THIRD season
Here are the basics:
--We will have a snake style draft involving all 24 signed up and committed owners. The draft will take place in the baseball theme leagues forum.
--Each team will draft a full 25 man team in that draft. ALL PLAYERS DRAFTED ARE EXCLUSIVE--meaning, once Babe Ruth for example, is off the board, NO ONE else can draft ANY season of Babe Ruth. In other words, no clones allowed of any player, and only ONE season of that player can be used. That will be up to the owner who drafts him.
--We will lower the cap this 2nd season to $200 million cap. We may tinker with the amount of this cap before starting the next one..
--We will do one round of drafting per day, other than the first round. Round one will be "off the clock" meaning each owner picks after the previous owner picks and there are NO SKIPS.Each subsquent round will be "on the clock" with each owner getting a half hour draft slot from 10am to 9:30 pm. Once a round is completed for that day, the draft will continue in "off the clock mode" until the picks stop coming in.
--We will do 13 rounds (days) of one pick per owner, then three days of two picks per owner, and then two days of three picks per owner--so the draft should take 18 days.
--We WILL be using a DH. There will be NO waiver wire or minor leaguers. Trades will be allowed, both of unused draft picks and/or actual players who have been drafted. Once the draft is complete though, there will be no trading.
--The entire WIS baseball database is open. Players from 1885-2015 available for drafting. We will wait until the 2015 season players are out before we start.
--You can name your exclusive stadium when you sign up, or you can wait until the final round of the draft if you would rather see how your team is shaping up..
