Triple Progressive with College Classes (9 in) Topic

Triple Progressive with College Class system

This is a Progressive League that Begins with players available from Three different seasons (Season I: 1960 - 1980 - 2000, Season II: '61-'81-'01)

A college Class system will be a Hallmark of this league.
Players that are drafted have 4 years of eligibility as the League Progresses.

I am hopeful that a College System helps alleviate a major point of controversy associated with progressive leagues - Tanking. It should also stimulate an infusion of talent into each draft.

The Class system and three simultaneous Eras should enable quicker rebuilds and continuing interest for owners.

Class Assignments
Class assignments for every player will be dictated by draft spot.

Initial Draft
To create some variation and different classes, each round of the initial draft will dictate that players class
Round
1 - Each Player will be designated as a Freshman (Fr.) and will have Four years of eligibility
2- Each Player will be designated as a Sophomore (So.) and will have Three years of eligibility
3- Each Player will be designated as a Junior (Jr.) and will have Two years of eligibility
4- Each Player will be designated as a Senior (Sr.) and will have One year of eligibility

5 - Each Player will be designated as a Freshman (Fr.) and will have Four years of eligibility
6- Each Player will be designated as a Sophomore (So.) and will have Three years of eligibility
7- Each Player will be designated as a Junior (Jr.) and will have Two years of eligibility
8- Each Player will be designated as a Senior (Sr.) and will have One year of eligibility

9 - Each Player will be designated as a Freshman (Fr.) and will have Four years of eligibility
10- Each Player will be designated as a Sophomore (So.) and will have Three years of eligibility
11- Each Player will be designated as a Junior (Jr.) and will have Two years of eligibility
12- Each Player will be designated as a Senior (Sr.) and will have One year of eligibility

Each Franchise will have 12 players - 3 Seniors, 3 Juniors, 3 Sophomores, 3 Freshmen

In future drafts (Season II, III, IV, etc.), Each Player in the First Three Rounds will be a Freshman,
with additional Players (4th rounder and up) considered Juco transfers and thus a Jr. (2 years eligibility)

There may be occasions where owners wish to have players 'Transfer' = thus creating occasional needs for a 4th player or more during drafts in the future.

Transferring players (cut by an owner) will be required to sit out one season, have his name placed on a Transfer list, and will be eligible to be drafted after sitting out one season - (same as NCAA) -

Graduated Players

In order to alleviate a five year cycle of huge drafts - and to help balance drafts.
After graduating, each player will have a designated season before he can be a Freshman and thus reenter the League.

A players draft slot will dictate when he can re-gain eligibility and enter the draft as a Freshman

First Round players will be subject to this re-entry criteria.
Draft slot
1. Player sits out ZERO season after graduating -
2. Player sits out ONE season after graduating -
3. Player sits out TWO season after graduating -
4. Player sits out ZERO season after graduating -
5. Player sits out ONE season after graduating -
6. Player sits out TWO seasons after graduating -
7. Player sits out ZERO seasons after graduating -
8. Player sits out ONE season after graduating -
9. Player sits out TWO seasons after graduating
10. Player sits out ZERO seasons after graduating -
11. Player sits out ONE season after graduating -
12. Player sits out TWO seasons after graduating - -

etc including all FIRST ROUND PLAYERS

Good 'catch' on that gray fox - I fixed the 4's to 3's - if you would, examine more content for flaws
