I think it would be pretty cool if coaches could promote 2 players Offense/Defense as captains. Maybe it could give those 2 players promoted as captains a boost of some sort? Nothing too drastic.

Yes, the NCAA FOOTBALL series had this option at one point...it was great!

GREAT IDEA Matthew!! Rewarding a player by making him Captain is a great idea and I am sure that in reality that appointment brings addition responsibility as well as greater we.

Can only imagine the growth of a RS player with high GPA and work ethic being promoted to captain!!

I signed him my first season at CSU. It cost about 130K to shake off Oklahoma and Nebraska, and the rest of the class were a bunch of pylons, but it was worth it. He wasn't the highest rated player I ever had though. That goes to this TE I had at USC:

Or maybe the player doesn't receive a boost but the team does. Is't that the point in real life? Maybe a formation IQ tie in? Or something like if a DL for captain has a great tkl, then everyone's tkl is slightly adjusted.
