what did darnocc disappear or did you just keep asking him about a 2-3 all big man lineup?
He ran Darnoc off when Ward told him he was going with a 3-3-3-6 class set up, Darnoc jokingly accused him of cheating (for those that aren't all there tonight, that's 15 players, not 12), and Ward threw a hissy fit about Darnoc calling him a cheater. Cried like a little girl with a skinned knee apparently.
Lol!

10 WE, Blue potential and 20 minutes of practice time will get you 4-6 points of growth in one season.

If he starts the 10 WE guy and has some blues I would expect around 20ish points of growth in 4 years for that skill.
Don't forget though with that low of a work ethic, there is a very likely chance that he'll also lose points during the offseason, potentially negating any gains he made during the season.

no, the worlds will stay the same
Thanks for answering my question rather than putting me down!
id love to but you down but it is not very satisfying--I'm on the forums to learn you should be on them to learn to. I went from being 2-14 to 1.5 seasons later having a top 20 RPI.

Emy, the offseason losses at 10 are usually less than 10 total and rarely more than two except for stamina.

there is no doubt that high we guys are better but the low guys are values if signed cheaply.

Things must have changed a lot since the last time I recruited one about a decade ago.

As far as being values, I suppose if you're really desperate for depth I guess. I'd much rather take the walk-on and get a better player next year.

https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/RatingsHistory.aspx?tid=14733&pid=3352742

here is my recent 11 WE recruit

didn't want him but recruit gen sucked for big men and any D2 big men said no to me so I was left to go after him.

started 61 ath 22 spd 60 reb 39 def 69 sb 29 lp 14 per 28 bh 17 pas 63 sta C- FT

with reb/def/sb/per/sta being blue and ath/spd/lp/bh being red passing was black

so I figured 61 ath 22 spd was solid enough starting ratings ath/spd and 60/39/69 was good starting with blue potential I'll focus everything on those I wasn't worried about LP and its not like it would've grown anyways

currently midway through junior year and ratings are:

63 ath 22 spd 82 reb 53 def 74 sb 27 lp 7 per 27 bh 7 pas 63 sta C- FT

respectable D3 player

potentials ended up being 99 reb 65 def 89 sb and 86 stamina (I wish lol)

so 22 points in rebound 14 in defense and 5 in sb. rebound was the most important I think I have like 30 in reb and 25 in def with 12-15 in conditioning. rebounding increased every offseason.

so its certainly not plan a,b,c,d or maybe even e, but last case scenario it might be better than a walkon if you need depth for a big run or keeping class structure, with 11 WE im not sure how 4 year starting would've worked I've gotten 14 WE start 4 years and had great growth but I wouldn't be trying that out to tell anyone, I'll let tj play with his low WE guys

What I would like to know is how Coach Ward got a D-2 team after going 0-54, while I'm still stuck at a low D-1 program 25 seasons later.

You didn't take the right path, you're suppose to stay at division 2 for 10 seasons instead of going small major division 1. To qualify for big 6.

Because the only thing it takes nowadays to go from D3 to D2 is a pulse and paid seasons. Sometimes you don't even need a pulse.

This might be the advice you got but don't forget the most important thing Ward. You have to have "success" in those ten seasons at D2, not just ten seasons of coaching experience. If you don't make multiple NT's and win some of those tournament games, it's not going to matter if you're there ten seasons or not you're not going to be able to pick up a BCS team.

In other words, if someone told you that ALL you have to do to be able to move from D2 to a BCS team is to coach ten years in D2, they're wrong.

You know we are waiting for you in the ACC, Phelan. So Wake Forest, Virginia, pick your team!

It's interesting to note. I've only found one coach that went from D-2 to D-1 out of the Top 35 or 40 programs IRL. Coach of Missouri, was local, went to D-2 to D-1, had an ok resume, but nothing that really stood out. Current UConn and Gonzaga coaches? No prior head coaching experience at the college level.

So you found 3 coaches that went from division 2 to division 1 big 6 level?
