You schedule the 10 best teams you believe you can beat. Human, sim, top 25, bottom 25, whatever. Road games count more for RPI so scheduling road games always helps.
Take a look at Chowan's schedule I think I did a good job in scheduling non conference. So it doesn't matter where you at in the rpi? As long as you win I will like to continue scheduling my sim games the pancake schedule route I take. So say whatever the hell you forum poster wants with me scheduling a pancake schedule. But just remember when I am in the national tourney or pti.. When I schedule sims for my non confernece and you schedule humans and you aren't in the post season just remember whose more successful!
CoachWard's RPI at Chowan by season:
Season 1: 160
Season 2: 184
Season 3: 307
Season 4: 342
I was talking about this season alone... Season 1 and 2 I had the most wins in a season I have ever had and had a better Rpi..
Is it good that the most wins you ever had was like 13 or something, and the top RPI was 160, when you had all sim players. And then when you had all of your amazing players in you didn't win a game? Cuz that's what you are saying.

Also, Darnoc is just trying to help you, he mentored you, he gives you great advice and you just throw **** at him. I don't know who your new mentor is but I doubt it could be better than Darnoc

Oh wait, I think he blocked me lol

I'm still trying to figure out why Ward started a thread asking for advice on scheduling and then immediately attacked Darnoc for giving him advice on scheduling -- "Hey guys, how should I schedule? **** you, I'll schedule how I want. I'm good at this game."

Anyone who gets that defensive has been jilted by more than a few lovers, methinks.

00:27 Tony Welch is denied on a layup by Russell Frantz 56-57
00:26 Lawrence Laflamme pulls down the offensive rebound 56-57
00:22 Tony Welch misses long on a floater from just outside the lane 56-57
00:21 Lawrence Laflamme hits the follow up shot 58-57
00:08 58-57 Rodney Dietz blows the layup
00:07 58-57 Pat Cave pulls down the offensive rebound
00:01 58-57 Russell Frantz clanks a jumper from the left wing
00:00 Daryl Henderson grabs the board 58-57

Gave the other team 3 shots to go ahead and then proceeds to blow it with a layup and clanking a jumper with one second left. 57 straight. Must be cursed.

i'm not sure what "rpi is finalized" means in the OP, but if it means that you do all your scheduling after the conf tournament is over then I would advise doing some sooner. Lots of teams are unavailable on that final day when you can schedule

I do mine during the CT. That way you can see who the noncon opponents are as well.

"Well, if you think you know so much Ward, quit asking for help and just SHOW us how good you are. Win a title."

Heck, win a game!

If I was in your position and thought I had a good team, I would schedule sims on the road that have a lot of current juniors. They should be good next year with a lot of seniors, and you *should* be able to beat pretty much any sim that you play.

Not for nothing Ward, but that's not what finalized means :) I think you mean "appears".

Either way, I would suggest waiting a little longer and let the RPI settle in, it doesn't change a whole heck of alot after game 20 or so.

I dont really look at RPI - I tend to look at teams with nice win totals and nice numbers of returning players. A second factor is then to look for teams like that who have weak schedules and therefore will get a bunch of wins. All assuming that I think MY team has a good shot to beat them

...and even if he meant appears, thats not when it first appears. it comes in after game 7, before game 8, im pretty sure

It means you get your choice of fruit topping (always go blueberry) and your choice of side, either bacon or sausage (always go bacon, obviously).
