We have one opening in the sixth season (1978/79 and 1979/80) of the double season progressive which started with the 1968/69 & 1969/70 seasons. This league began with the era of Wilt, Baylor, Robertson, Dave Bing, Earl Monroe etc. We will progress 2 seasons at a time. Each season owners will be able to select which of the 2 seasons they will use for each of their players, if the player was WIS eligible in both seasons. There will be adequate players available.

The team available is the Toronto Huskies (name can be changed). I have posted a preliminary keeper list for the Huskies below. We will be ready to begin the draft on Thursday 8/4.

The Huskies were 43-39 in season 5 (1976/77 and 1978/79) and will be drafting 11th. A preliminary keeper list for the Huskies is posted below subject to change by the replacement owner

Since we progress 2 seasons at a time, player turnover in the league is rapid. Rookies for the 1978/79 and 1979/80 season include Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Maurice Cheeks, Reggie Theus, Mychal Thompson, Bill Cartwright, Sidney Moncrief, Mike Mitchell, David Greenwood, Purvis Short, Terry Tyler, Michael Cooper and Vinnie Johnson.

This league is a replacement for the similar ABA/NBA progressive which started with the 1967/68 and 1968/69 seasons and completed a 24 season run, concluding with 2013/14 and 2014/15.

18 of the 20 owners (4 owners had 2 teams) from the predecessor league elected to return and we added 6 new owners.

I will give interested owners immediate access to the league private forum, which contains the league rules, a 1978/79 and 1979/80 draft thread (including an available player list) and a thread with 1978/79 and 1979/80 keepers by team.
