We need one owner for the Post War Progressive League, which started in 1946 and is currently in it's 25th season (1970). We are nearing the end of the 1970 season , having completed 135 games. The 1979 season ends on August 15. We are currently posting keepers for 1969.

One of our original owners is leaving the league after 25 seasons with 2 world series titles, 9 league championships and 18 division titles.
The team available is the Philadelphia Flatulence (Phillies) . Philadelphia currently is 61-74 in the 1970 season, 3rd in an the NL East division 10 games out of first. The team will be probably drafting somewhere between 2nd and 7th in the 1971 draft as there are 6 teams clusytered closely together in W/L record.

Philly Flatulence 1971 roster. There are 24 players (P Greg Garrett retired after 1970). The 4 players shown in bold red face have minimal seasons remaining, and should almost certainly be cut. This would result in a roster of 20 playersAdditional player may be cut at the discretion of a new owner.

This has been a stable league with excellent owners and good competitive balance. Only one team has a W/L pct. currently below .437 and only one team is above .600, 12 teams are separated by 12 games from each other.

This is obvious. The 1970 season ends on August 15th. We are currently posting keepers for 1971, which I just did. I'm in this league. Good league. Hopefully someone good will come join us.
