Question... will we be selecting the below average AAA from within them (ie 2000-2009 players from our franchise)? It's my experience, generally that's more fun (and theme consistent ) vs random AAA.

Do you know if there are enough below average AAA players from each franchise?

Can you be more specific on AAA? How many? Random vs. pick our own? Same restrictions apply?

There should be plenty of below average AAA to chose from per franchise between 2000-2009, and that keeps it all within theme. Why should we have our 2000-2009 league watered down with random deadball era players (no offense meant to deadball era fans out there).

AAA level is all based on salary...Basically for below average AAA, you're talking about any position players with WIS salary under ~1.6 million, starting pitcher under around 1 million, and relief pitcher under around 700K. You're not going to get a ton of innings regardless of how players are chosen.

Looking at my 2000-2009 Cards as an example, looks like i'll have 8 or 9 starting pitchers to choose from and around 20 relief pitchers. And plenty of position players available at all positions at those #s - and one of the great thing about "draft your own" is that you are not pigeon forced to draft specific positions, if you already have enough Catcher ABs, you don't need to get a AAA Catcher, you can draft 2 outfielders, or a utility player.

Here are the updated rules:

$200K to $250K franchise players to fill out your top 25 from the 90's and 10's if needed. $200 to $250K below average AAA players from your franchise can be manually drafted from 1990 to 2015.

I poster this in the 40's league but just in case you look here first - it appears Below Avg AAA hitters have a min salary of about $360K, so unless I am mistaken (and I probably am) it is not possible to manually draft AAA hitters less than $360k.

Let's go Mets!
8/18/2016 10:28 PM
we'll take the Giants
