Is this a keeper league or do we draft an entirely new team every season?

What is the purpose of using previous seasons salary?

Couldn't someone draft 25 $200K players ensuring first pick next season and then using all AAA? With 60-20 to pick from you could still get a competitive team at $40M.
8/14/2016 7:05 PM
Hey FBD, yeah it's a keeper league.
The previous seasons salary is for the draft order only
Yeah but wouldn't you miss out on buying a bunch of stars cheap
and then changing their seasons in the later seasons?
That's how I was looking at it.
I draft first and I pick Greg Maddux cheapest season for season 1
Change his season later when I can afford it.

Thanks for the questions, hope you join.
8/14/2016 7:40 PM
It does make sense if it is a keeper league, otherwise it would be pointless. It is almost a twist league.

Is there a keeper limit? Either a maximum or minimum you keep.
8/14/2016 10:43 PM
No, Just draft as many good players as you can afford for season 1 at their cheapest seasons and you can use your AAA for season 1
another option draft 2 or 3 stars at their peak for season 1
or mix it up, a couple stars to compliment the AAA and the rest on the cheapest season of your favorite.
The key is spending your dollars wisely.

Examples of what you can do: The Decision on how to build your club is 100% up to you.

This example shows who you could draft and have 10,958,029 dollars left
This scenario you would be 100% dependent on your Random AAA Players for Season 1

How would this work in future seasons.

If I have 1914 Ed Walsh on my team then say in season 4, I want 1910 Ed Walsh . I can't draft him because there are no clones allowed. If I drop 1914 Walsh then anyone who picks before me can get 1910 Walsh.

If twisting between seasons is allowed then you should say so in your opening post.

Thanks Fatboydad I have re-written the opening post.

Great job, gonzo. I really like this idea. Lots of different strategies can come into play.

Count me in.
