Ah, thanks. And yeah, perspectives on my team were all over the place. I'm pretty undecided on it myself.

I think it was your Cole Aldrich pick

That's the move that is gradually cementing my status as the favorite to wax everyone's tail?

I think my team was a bit undervalued, but that's okay. Every time I'm listed in the top 5 I miss the playoffs.

that is a conundrum

My Rankings, 6, 15, 10, 15... Averaged out that's 11.5... I am ok with that you guys see my team the way I do. Either middle of the pack or more near the bottom I have no objections

So I got 4 of my bottom 6 ranked teams in my division. Not sure if I'm happy about that or if I just suck at evaluating other teams....

I had you ranked high. Looks like a good team.

some very good comments, love the round by round quick thoughts. someone explain to me the usage total though? I have my starting lineup at 10.5 and depending on rotation, I think 10-12 from the bench. But I couldn't follow the concern about total usage points and the penalty of 95 - 100 or whatever.

you’ll use is another 2 pts so that’s 10.5 points – in theory enough to escape the team penalty but I’d wager that if you divided your attempts drafted by your minutes drafted and multiplied that number by 5 and then multiplied that number by 48 you would get nowhere near the 95-100+ attempts you’ll be putting up in game play

This makes my head hurt!

I'm terribly at evaluating teams in this league, including my own. And this is the time when I start looking back over the draft and second-guessing every pick.

I was surprised Donyell Marshall was still available when your third round pick came up, and I was thinking at the time that he was just about the perfect fit so that you could start creating some offensive balance to keep teams from collapsing on Shaq in the paint. Kirilenko gives you fewer threes, a little less rebounding and lesser efg%, but somewhat better D and definitely (depending on the season used...but there's only one I use) a start on assists.

Again, Donyell seemed like a great opportunity, but then again, It might have seemed like too much of a risk to wait until the fourth round to start building up ast%, though.

drafted attempts/drafted minutes = average attempts per minute - take that figure and multiply by 48 minutes and multiply 5 (players on the floor) and you will get something like drafted attempts per game

Or you could just do FGA/82, as a season is 82 games long (unless I'm missing something?)

Incomplete suckage lol. Don't hold back copernicus lol. Great evals though man!

yes, I am playing Eddie Jones at the 3. Defense, steals, 3;s but a major lack of rebounding. I'm taking the chance that the above average rebounding of Manu, Mookie and Parker combined with the MONSTER rebounding of all 3 bigs (Moses, Boozer and Cliff Ray) will offset Jones. But I am banking on a combo of nice low post scoring and offensive rebounding of my big three and the outside shooting and D of my little three are a tough combo to stop. We shall see.

I think you're missing that a drafted sim roster has a variable minutes pool so someone who drafts 22000 minutes may have 8200 attempts but not all of those minutes are going to make it to the floor

your method leaves you thinking you have 100 attempts per while mine (though still not exact - the extra/unused minutes might be low usage guys pulling down the average for instance) results in 89 attempts
