How do I remove a guy from my 40 during trade? Topic

I have a guy who is on my 40 and in a trade that was accepted, how do I clear the 40 man spot so I can add someone else? I'm against the rule 5 draft and want to add another player.

I think you'll want to Waive or Designate him, but select 'No Waiver Wire' option - that way he sits in limbo for a few days, which is long enough for the trade to become final.
