Agreed.

I can understand terming Escobar "untouchable" as a bargaining ploy.. but to turn that ploy into two months of Jarrod Washburn seems like general managerial malpractice.

If this happens, I half suspect that Attanasio is behind it... trying to make some kind of splash to "reward" the faithful fans.

Maybe since he throws about 40 pitches for every 1/3 of an inning he usually pitches, they figure he's already stretched out enough.
