Kevin Love's 2010 Season Topic

Lamar Odom is having a nice statistical season especially if they make him 100% at SF

Love's season may make it possible to draft a competitive Timberwolves squad in Gymrat for the first time ever

ahh... but over/ under 10 million for Love? In other words, is he going to be worth taking?

Dwight's season will probably be 11 or 12 million, right? That kind of eFG with that usage?
Yeah probably and Love I doubt he'll be over $10m just because he only has 2600 mins.  Assuming he doesn't return this season

youre right on both, but love will probably still be around 8 million if he doesnt come back, 9 if he play 3+ more games... something like that

If the salary structure remains the same, I'd say under $11M.

vis Love: there isnt a player in the database who played less than 2600 minutes in a season getting paid higher than 8m

Do you think they'll pull another Troy Murphy 08-09 and make Love's DEF rating very high due to his insane DREB%?

yes, i do.

Absolutely.

Another guy looking forward to use, if he's not too expensive, is Kevin Martin.  He's scoring 23 points in 32 mins.  He has 439 3PA and 648 FTA.  He's eFG% is only at 50 but his TS% is a 60.  Just interested how he would perform in th SIM.

He won't get to the line as much in the sim, so his TS% will be lower.

Yeah he will get the line about 25% less but want to see how much TS% is being used in the SIM.  Kevin Martin wlll be a good barometer

Best barometer:  Late 80's Barkley.  See how much his salary jumped?  Now compare to Dwight Howard.  That's TS% at work.

no they didnt - TS% has never been shown, it's always been eFG

reworking the database was a lot less work (re-weighting an equation) than any kind of engine overhaul - stop apologizing for their unconscionable bs - it was plainly egregious and there is and was no excuse for the way they've handled their NBA game for at least 5 years and counting
Felonius why do you even need to make comments like that, I really don't understand.  I agree with what you say but a lot of new people read these and some people just want to scare people off.  And by the way it is TS% now, shown or not shown

it's a fact, they dont seem to be too concerned about it so why should you be? and the reason for the delay had a lot more to do with the fact that they simply did not prioritize it nor make any effort at all on it for long periods of time - the same programmers were working on other games and putting out tons of updates while we waited - had nothing whatsoever to do with the nature or difficulty of the work they were doing for this sim and its database, had everything to do with them not bothering to do it
again I agree
I agree as well.  They have not upgraded the engine since 2007 but they constantly are tweeking the other games if not completely redoing them.  They haven't fixed a damn thing on the basketball sim in years and there are so many things to fix.  But hey, at least they will pass along our suggestions to the development team.

Yes but with Kevin Martin the disparity between his TS% and his eFG% is the reason for my interest.  But I may be the only one....
