What are your sources for this concern? You seem to be suggesting that there is some sort of cabal operating in the shadows of power that wants to foist a draft on the American people for reason that are unclear/dubious/sinister. Yes, the military has been stretched very thin; particularly the Army and Marine Corps. However, we are coming up on the 10 year anniversary of the GWOT; these manpower problems are hardly new.
Frankly, this type of hearsay is along the lines of FEMA concentration camps and secret banking guilds.
But to answer your question: yes, we should have an open debate about reinstating a draft. The burdens of our current conflicts have fallen disproportionally on very few Americans. Multiple 12-18 month combat tours and stop-loss orders are unfair to those who serve, even volunteers. Members of our military are not some sort of elite military caste. In my opinion, we would be better off if all of our society were more equally represented in the services.
