It is so disappointing that I had five teams in the playoffs for most of the season and now at the end two teams are doing their best Hindenburg imitation.

1 game left and I have 2 teams that need to win and they're in for 5. Lose and I'm probably 3.

I went from five in to three in in few days. Today I found out that an injection I need for my cancer treatment costs over $10,000. Then I saw the following on Twitter:


When my daughter was 7 years-old she once interrupted a bedtime story to tell me, “In a pie-eating contest, it doesn’t matter if you win or lose because you get to eat pie.” I think about that a lot.

Ended up in three of the five hardest divisions, including first and second most difficult. F*** me.

edsortails has a strong case to the most difficult schedule. He is the only other team besides mine whose opponents have a positive winning percentage (it generally slants that that the teams in the top face sum losing records since they have to play their opponents gain losses by playing the top teams). He is also in the top two most difficult divisions along with me. longtallbrad looks like it was tough too considering it generated that many wins without him generating a ton of them. So probably brad, ed and then me ended up with the toughest regular season road.

Pretty good inaugural seasons for ty84moss and berkelon, both pulling off winning records.

I think the adj number is a bad predictor because if an owner with a good historic average gets plopped into a bunch of tough divisions you are going to get an unobtainable total since all those teams can't get that many wins.

Interesting exercise - Iooking at my preseason ranks compared with finish:

World 1 Pacific: pre 11, post 4
World 2 Central: pre 6, post 7
World 3 Central: pre 1, post 17
World 4 Central: pre 10, post 5
World 5 Midwest: pre 2, post 1

Some of them almost spot on. World 3 Central though was preseason 1st and finished 17th. In 3 of the top 5 performing divisions was pretty tough, but also probably go lucky getting 5 in when I put my worst team in the division that performed 17th.

15 teams over .500. Is that typical?

A **** sandwich on the last day of the regular season is the perfect encapsulation of Savage this year.
