Issues of morality aren't always determined by legality. Trump's actions are probably legal. Does that mean they are moral? **** no.

In a just society, Trump's taxes should disqualify him from any higher office in the eyes of the public.

he is and has to say he had losses.
he can’t say he was smart now except to say he took legal deductions.
it’s the inflated and fake deductions and overvalued losses and undervalued income that are the problem.

The New York Times’s explosive report on President Donald Trump’s years of alleged tax avoidance also exposed another secret: the cost of his coif.

The Times says Trump’s unmistakable hairdo is a five-figure affair.

The newspaper reports that when Trump hosted “The Apprentice,” he wrote off $70,000 in hairstyling costs; and that nine Trump entities have written off payments of close to $95,000 for “a favorite hair and makeup artist of Ivanka Trump.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who was slammed in right-wing media over a haircut last year, noted that those same conservatives are silent over the president’s massive styling bill.

And she called them out for it:

The Times report says Trump paid $750 a year in taxes in 2016, another $750 in 2017, and ? despite his claims of being a successful businessman paid nothing at all in 10 of the previous years due to massive financial losses.

Trump called the report “fake news” but has not revealed his taxes, despite repeated vows to do so.

So...........a couple more little FACTS.
Trump wrote off over 20 MILLION disbursements to undisclosed "Consultants" (consulting Fees) thus reducing his taxable income a corresponding amount over the years.
One such "consulting fee" disbursed to an un-named entity was for (exactly) $747,622.

When Ivanka Trump became an adviser to the Trump admin. SHE had to file some disclosure paperwork.
She disclosed (under oath) receiving a $747,622 consulting fee paid to a "consulting firm" she was the sole owner of.
Trouble is. SHE was double dipping. She was (supposedly) consulting on Hotel projects (in Hawaii and Seattle) at the SAME moment that She was involved as some sort of managing partner for the Trump group. A VERY OBVIOUS conflict of interest.

Bottom line is Trump reduced his (real) taxable income by that $747,622 Bucks.
And the REAL question, (which I'm sure the NY Times has been working on!!)
IS Who was the OTHER 25 Million dollars in consulting Fees paid to???
Family members?
Shell firms?

2016 data shows very clearly that most rich people are in fact paying a lot of taxes.

So here’s the thing — why are the assets valuable if the tax returns say they generate massive Net Operating Losses? The books are being cooked in two different directions.

I’m saying Donald Trump’s combination of high living and super-low taxes is not normal, and likely reflects actual lawbreaking and not just the usual sharp accounting tactics.
