I don’t think many dems or independents are going to vote against Biden because of the Afghan withdrawal.
As time goes on the difficulty of getting out without totally screwing over the Afghans and their army is more accepted. And the restraint of getting boots on the ground will outweigh losing 13 while getting out of a war that the whole country hated.

Kennedy had the bay of pigs and was on his way to a second term. Bush2 subterfuge was out of the bag in his first term and he won a second term.
Bush1 won a war and then lost a second term.
Trump had no war and lost.

It is not so cut and dry.
