Last season they announced May 20th and I think they updated in WiS around May 23rd.

Last year they didn’t announce the all defense teams until May 20th. That seems like a long time to wait so they can adjust fewer than 10 players.

If we assume a week to fill, two weeks to draft, two weeks to fill the league (all about standard) then we are probably starting right as the new defensive ratings post.

But that does add some intrigue as people are drafting with some guesses in mind. Seems like the teams are like 80% set though. I can’t imagine it having too much of an impact.

In the end it’s 10 players some of which might already have an 80-10 d rating and I think it’s sage to guess a couple of them. It’s not a salary cap league either so it won’t **** that up.

Right. There are roughly like 12-13 candidates for 10 spots and most are more certain than others. We have already probably spent too much ink on it in comparison to the whole player pool. I mean the likely DPOY is already 100.

I don't really care about all-defense one way or the other, but I'm regrettably out if the draft starts before April 23rd. I'm not trying to do this **** on a cell phone on hotel wifi during my vacation. Obviously don't wait if you've got 24 other dudes ready before then.

I don't have a good way of keeping track of things, but I have to imagine that is the only time anyone has won 9 series where they were underdog/the road team.

Despite the win, some things clearly went wrong and some things went right.

What went right? The strategy of building positionless defensive terrors around Giannis... Kirilenko, Butler, Marion, Giannis, Plumlee, O'Quinn were all a perfect marriage together. I was always able to craft really awesome rotations. On top of that, Stoudemire fell to the 6th and could not have been a more perfect backup for Giannis since I had the rebounding and assists covered.

What went wrong? I rushed / didn't strategize enough at guard. Iguodala, Hill and T Brandon were awful fits on this team and I spent all season working around them / dragging them along. I hated having them. Also I really ended up not needing as much Gortat as I thought and I ended up sitting him a lot of the playoffs.
