Man, I tired using the last draft as a guide for this one. After I took Rodman, my original plan was to aim for Kobe in the 3rd round (he went in the 4th last draft) and take Camby in the second. Figured the nasty rebounding would make up for Kobe chunking up shots. After I made my second round pick I had a list of 6 point guards that I was hoping would fall to the third... and all 6 went off the board.
So I decided to just go BPA with Mourning and Webber. Not really excited about the pairing but it could work.

1st round won't have many surprises, after that that standard deviation is about 20 picks id guess.

"Somebody is going on Spurs theme. Ginobili is a high usage good efg% guy who can hit the 3fg, give decent rebounding, ast%, and defense, while playing multiple position. One concern is whether it is worth using 2nd round pick on someone who will play only about 2100 minutes."

He'll play in the 2350-2400 range.

Oops!!! I was looking at the wrong season because I got distracted by that TO number. Yeah, that Gino will play up to 2400 minutes

Good work so far on the evals!

any thoughts on building a team based on high assists --- I've seen in other leagues where high assist teams score at exceedingly high rates --- thought I'd give it a try with Wilt adding high assits from the center position

I think that penn blew it with those 4th and 5th round picks. If he is using another version of Wilt than the 66-67proven winner in this league than good luck with that. The Deron Williams and Jose Calderon combo doesn't scare me too much. Kukoc at SF is a poor rebounder and a poor defender. If any other version of Wilt is used it just isn't going to work.

It's really too bad as there were some perfect players left to fill out the roster in the 4th and 5th rounds that would almost assured a title.

Maglor- you didn't give up on the evals I hope ;)

Penn in order for a high assists team to work your team needs to have the ball on offense at least as much as the opponents and also have really good defense to stop them from scoring. Right now you have weak rebounding at SF, SG, and PG. The defense at PF is 50, SF 45, SG 70 and PG 46. In this league that overall defense is too weak.

My plan completely flipped when I noticed Drexler was still available in the 4th. Then I took Pau in the 5th, who as I've planned will be my sixth man... If my next couple picks go as desired.

The high ast% teams will never work in the ODL\52. I do believe it could work in the SSD, but you won't see me trying it
