Surprised wouldn't be the right word, I just am starting to think if you don't get the first or second pick, you are better off picking at 12. Kareem might be the exception to that plan

The common wisdom seems to be that Wilt, Lebron, Kareem and Jordan should be the first four picks, and the next eight or so come down to a matter of taste and strategy.

To me Moses should go higher than Kareem and higher than Rodman. Jordan going at #5 after Rodman and Kareem is also a surprise to me. Chris Paul going before Karl Malone is also interesting.

Probably because I'm a middlin' owner at best, but the idea of my taking Rodman over Moses, or even in the top 12 just makes me feel boxed in. It eliminates the possibility of grabbing a steal in round 2 who happens to not be a scorer.

Seeing Chris Paul and Steph Curry go before Karl Malone and David Robinson is odd. Because the best Curry season is short on minutes I also think (undrafted player) and (undrafted player) should be drafted ahead of him... As much as I love Curry, he doesn't belong in the top half of the first round.

The thing is that d555 is most likely going to win the title with Curry as his first round pick. That increases his value like a hot stock. But if dh555 wins his 4th title I'm changing his name to dh666 ! I wanted to get that 4th title in this league before he did lol. But he really deserves it.

I had a hard time deciding between Steph & Robinson. I probably value both more than most other owners. I have a typical team building strategy and Robinson fits it well. I also like what you can do with the Mailman as your stud. I've won a title with him and lost in the finals w him twice- other leagues obviously.. Anyway, I kept playing the draft out in my head and I kept coming up with better looking teams with Steph as my 1st round pick. I knew how crazy it looked when I did it and may regret it.

Tough call, but want someone I haven't had before :

I was thrilled and surprised to land the Mailman at 13. I'm currently in a prog (that some of you are well aware of) with Karl leading the way. This is the first time I've had to he chance to use him in this or the ODL. I'm kind of glad that Mr. Robinson was taken ahead of me, I was targeting one of those two.
