Ump was wrong to call time. They ruled he would've scored even if time had not been called. The incorrect calling of time did not affect Toronto's ability to make a play. The ball was live as per the rules. It was good to see the umps make sure they got it right ( which they did). Now it would suck if that had been the winning run but the umps can't care about that. It's about making the correct call.

I am glad Toronto won and would like to see them beat KC. I think the royals will win in 6 though. Their pitching is better.

an inadvertent whistle stops a play whether it could be ruled the player would have scored a TD or not.....time out should mean time out, no matter if they got the rule right on the actual play itself

True. While I am a Blue Jay fan and ruling that way I would've liked.  I agree with the way it was called (for the reasons I stated).   Either way it was an enjoyable game to watch, just like the rest of the playoffs so far.  I hope the post season games continue this way.
