is Doc playing the big 3 enough minutes?

Yeah.

But KG has def regressed and Pierce missed 3 games and went 3-17 w 5 TO's last night.   Ray Allen shooting like 95% from 3 is the only thing keeping the O going, bc even with that there's been a lot of pressure on Rondo and Bass to pick up the slack on offense.

They'll be fine on nights where Pierce doesn't take a giant steaming dump, but the other big concern is that they aren't that good on D anymore.  They've had a very tough time getting the missed shot > d-reb sequence going.

Yeah the pacers killed them on the offensive glass and I don't really see the Celtics improving much there as kg and jo are just old and slow and no one else gets at the boards at all.

was referring to the hi 30s he played Allen and Pierce in a lost cause last night

KG was their D anchor (not to mention Perkins)

Meh, they have 4 days off before their next game so maxing their minutes last night made sense.

They were fine on D without Perk last year, think it has more to do with KG getting old and Celtics being unable to control D-Rebs.

that game was more telling than I'd like it to be....

lC's will be fine.  Paul just needs to get fully game ready.  His Limited preseason and missing 3 games will do that to you.

These next few off days will help mesh the new blood and help Paul getting back into game shape....it'll also help refresh KG and Allen.  I know it's early, but it's still nice to have that kind of stretch.

I still think they'll have a top D.....it's just their interior D isn't as good, but their frontcourt D is better with Bradley getting some minutes.

Bradley getting minutes ain't a good thang, he's the worst offensive player in the league.

Damn straight. Bye bye Celtice of '07, say hello to the reincarnation of your immediate predecessors....

Man, too bad KG blew out his knee in 09.  Otherwise we woulda won 3 rangz and Kobe would still be ringless without Shaq.

either way, it's over now......

It's over if you plan on sticking with Jermaine o friggin neal as a starter.

4 games off and no stamina to play in the 4th quarter and another home loss.

Now sitting at 4-5 and tied with Cleveland for the 8th spot in the east.  And while 9 games isn't a large sample size it is 14% of the condensed season.

Celtics will be lucky to win the 36 games I thought it would and even making the playoffs is not a lock (though I do think they get in, though the 8th seed is fairly realistic).

They are just playing like the group of old men that they are and there is no cure for old age.

Good news though is that this is a deep draft...this is what is stopping me from going on a four state killing spree
