Pacers own you fags again.  And Ray Allen claimed that West took the money from Indiana instead of going to Boston to get a ring.  Your **** is pathetic Boston, time to blow it up.

be a lot easier to get him if they traded everyone away and got whatever they could for their players.

they can't get anything back, and they're still probably going to make the playoffs anyway.  just gotta let it riideee

Boston is/will be a title contender again come playoff time.

not a chance the Celtics will be a contender in 2012.  No way.  The team is done.

I still maintain there is some value for the old men.  Not a lot, but late first round pick value, they still have, especially Allen.

they may end up in the playoffs and even win a series, but only because the east sucks a fat dick.  Title contender?  lol...

They'll be there.  The big three will find a way.  They know this is the absolute last hurrah.

I don't put a whole lot of stock in regular season games, playoffs are the only hoop worth watching generally, but I will be eyeing tonight's contest versus the NBA's best team with a loud mouth and beer in hand!

Another big loss at home.  Celtics are not a title contender.  Period.  They do have a much easier stretch coming up where they should play above .500, but that still won't make the team a contender as it just can't beat the good teams anymore.

I should have taken deanod up on his bet regarding the Sixers as that team is clearly more likely to win a title than the Celtics (not that the Sixers have great odds or anything, they are just better than the Celtics).

weeee a late 1st rounder, who cares?

i mean if we trade allen to the bulls we have to take back korver or rip and a $5M commitment to them next year, that makes the 1st rounder pretty worthless.

Celtics aren't winning a title next year either because they aren't going to sign Dwight and Minnesota will match all offers for Love and no one else is worth signing.  So who cares about 5 million on the books (which could always be used as an expiring contract in a trade anyway).

Stock piling assets should be the goal and while we can debate the value of late first round picks, the more you have, the more likely you are to find someone of value.

Indiana might be a good trade partner regarding Allen as they are under the cap and could use a strong shooter and some veteran leadership.  Maybe the Celtics could get someone like Hill from them.  Hell I might just trade Allen to the Pacers for a first and the 10 million trade exception as that adds a lot of value.

We can use our cap room to acquire better assets by taking on toxic contracts.

Here we'd basically be trading $5M of cap space for an asset worth ~ $3M.  That's not a very good trade.  Korver isn't entirely deadweight but he has no value to us.  If we want to acquire assets we can just wait until all of our contracts expire and absorb toxic salaries + picks, especially if Dwight + Deron hit the open market.
