Fair point even if you are forgetting about Love playing with incredible defenders of the caliber of Ridnour, Darko, Beasley and J.J. Berea.

They are, but don't you have to ...win? 
19-11 vs. 16-17.  That's like a 9 game win boost that Griffin gets over Love right out of the gate.  Not saying Love is a great defender, but there would appear to be a big improvement in his defensive game.

Though 50% efg% doesn't excite me.  That's like a minimum for anybody over 4th tier usage to be considered sim-worthy.
