He wasn't going to resign with the slores.... so I traded him to you. I would have kept him as a SP4 if he would have stayed.

That.... and he sucked.... and my hd/college scouting budget is at zero so a type a/b wouldn't help anyways..... and I needed to dump off bud lee and his $5 million a year.... so you see it wasn't just so I could avoid losing cora to fa.

Your stud players in $ are all either still on their first long-term deal, which everyone will sign unless you are really stupid with them, or in the case of Torcato (and Gonzales before you dealt him) are really high patience.  You'll likely find your fortune less favorable going forward.

Hootie always re-signed as well in $.... Keller and c duran too.

my two big players won't be up for new contracts for at least 4-5 seasons... m duran and Leonard. My catcher will be an important signing in a few seasons.


I've always figured their re-signings had something to do with my teams winning a lot.... shows what I know.

Hootie was a stud back when they always re-signed unless you weren't paying attenton and actually let them become FA instead of signing them to an extension the year before.   Keller is still on the aformentioned first long-term deal.   I'm sure winning helps, but I don't think it's the driving factor.
