Interestingly enough, Trade Machine still thinks Celts get worse and Lakers get better with JON + Rondo for Pau.

well no kidding but that doesnt sweeten the pot - it just means we pay money for your dross for the rest of the year while trading Pau for Rondo straight up which is inequitable

what you dont seem to get is that Rondo - Pau straight up isnt equitable so you must sweeten the pot

if your answer to 'Rondo and?' is 'how about this steaming pile of crap?' the other team is walking and I've said that since post 1 (see also: "corpse of JON" references)

Sorry, I missed the part where it was decided that Rondo for Pau wasn't equitable BEFORE I posted the deal.

I get that people said so afterwards.

The fact that you would think anyone would consider JON as anything other than a way to balance out salaries (or an expiring for a few teams) is strange.

the fact that you think someone wants take on the onus of paying JON as part of a deal is strange

that only works as a cash dump at the end of the year and the Lakers arent in that business, try the hornets or the bobcats

(and you thinking anything other than the self evident in the Pau Rondo equation is not my problem and you were still talking about JON's salary after the responses on that subject)

Um, I believe it was you who thought JON was in the trade for value. I just corrected you.

And I'm surprised that the idea of a useless player being included to balance salaries is so crazy to you.

Why would Boston trade for a 33 year old?  Who is their PG then? 

oh ok i just read the last 2 pages.  I usually like Simmons, but those trade proposals are bizarre and without reason.  Boston and LA have basically used up the value of their players to the point where nothing they do really matters at this point.

However, if LA managed to get Howard somehow, they would give Deron a reason to come there, and be a force for the next 8 years+ with those 2 guys.  Sorry, but Bynum will never be Hakeem.  Get what you can for him.
