Generally speaking, this assessing personal fouls on the kickoff is stupid. The receiving team should get the option of having it assessed after the return.

Why? I don't see the logic in that, just a fan p.o.ed that it didn't go how he wanted.

Are you dumb?  Assessing it on the return would have hurt the Broncos more. I was thinking more of when it's on the defense and the kick off is from midfield.  The team doesn't even get anything for the penalty as the penalized team just gets a touchback anyway. 

My comment had nothing to do with the Broncos, hence the "generally speaking".

First of all, read who posted that wrong. Second, I just don't think that it would change much, I'd much rather keep it the way it is and move the kickoff back to where it used to be. Less touchbacks, and then the penalty still means something.

That's fair too.  But it's stupid to dish out a penalty that doesn't even penalize anyone. If I was on defense, I'd chip guys after a TD all the time. All it means is your team gets a guaranteed touchback.

This defense looks totally lost

I was hoping that the Broncos could surprise everyone tonight.... Not a good start.... But maybe that is why it will be so surprising.
